Job Description

We are seeking an Enrolled Agent or a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to provide assistance to our small CPA Firm. The ideal candidate must possess the ability to work independently, be proactive, and exhibit a high level of motivation. Strong organizational and follow-up skills are a must. Moreover, the candidate should be adept at managing priorities, handling multiple tasks with tight deadlines, and have the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.

We offer part-time positions with flexible hours, and there is potential for full-time employment for candidates who meet the qualifications.

Requirements

We are looking for someone with 3-5 years of solid experience in handling tax preparation for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and other entities.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review complex individual tax returns.
• Prepare partnership and corporate tax returns.
• Analyze and prepare amended federal and state income tax returns for individuals, small businesses, and corporations.
• Present completed tax returns to clients for review, ensuring accuracy and facilitating client understanding.
• Prepare personal property tax returns for small business clients with tangible business assets.
• Review tax returns prepared by other team members to ensure accuracy.
• Analyze and review client tax notices, as well as correspondence audits, and provide recommended next steps.
• Collaborate with Client Service Coordinators to respond to client communications and fulfill service requests.
• Perform other assigned duties as required.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proficiency in UltraTax (highly beneficial), QuickBooks, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
