Job Description

At Electra we need talented people that will share our strategy to be the obvious partner contracting for local & international players who wish to set up an event within the GCC.

Under the guidance of the Supervisor, The Team In charge – be responsible for the execution of production, build up and dismantling.

The team leader is responsible for managing the workforce, materials, tools, equipment, and logistics to ensure projects are completed efficiently, within budget, and on schedule.

Requirements

Main Accountabilities

1. Project Planning and Execution:

·        Independently handle projects, ensuring fabrication and installation are planned and executed according to the schedule.

·        Attend production meetings with Supervisors to discuss project progress and any issues that arise.

·        Place order for Materials and other resources required for production/site   as per the process in timely manner

2. Manpower and Material Calculation:

·        Calculate the manpower required for fabrication and request the necessary personnel from the Supervisor.

·        Estimate the materials needed for production and ensure accurate orders are placed with the right technical details.

3. Job Allocation and Process Adherence:

·        Allocate tasks to the team, ensuring that standard fabrication procedures and methods are followed at all stages.

·        Adhere to standard process to deliver the efficiently

·        Provide technical solutions as required to address issues and improve production efficiency.

4. Equipment and Tool Management:

·        Ensure that the team has the proper tools and machines to perform the tasks efficiently.

·       Regularly inspect tools and equipment, ensuring that they are in good working condition.

5. Quality Control and Materials Management:

·        Monitor quality control during production and installation to ensure adherence to project specifications and standards.

·        Oversee material control, ensuring that the right materials are used for  cost effectiveness

6. Budget and Estimation Compliance:

·        Ensure that the project follows the provided estimation at all stages, adhering to budget constraints and timelines.

·        Report any deviations from the budget or schedule and take corrective actions when necessary.

7. Logistics and Documentation:

·        Ensure that logistics and material request forms are submitted on time for their relevant projects.

·        Track materials and make sure that the items flows smoothy at different stages from production to  site and avoid delays.

8. Worker Management and Time Efficiency:

·        Direct and encourage workers through their daily routines, ensuring they are focused on effective time management to meet production and delivery goals.

·        Guide and motivate the team to maintain high performance throughout the project.

9. Training and Development:

·        Train workers in new fabrication techniques and ensure that they adhere to updated practices to improve productivity and quality.

10. Housekeeping and Workplace Organization:

·        Ensure that the working area is kept clean, organized, and safe, maintaining optimal conditions for efficient work.

·        Ensure that tools, machinery, and equipment are in proper working order and are stored correctly when not in use.

11. 5S and Lean Management Implementation:

·        Implement and enforce 5S principles and Lean management techniques to optimize workflows and improve efficiency .

12. Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:

·        Under the Company Safety Policy, the team leader has a responsibility to follow the above duties in a safe manner in accordance with the Safe Systems of Work and the procedures laid down under the Health and safety environment (HSE).

Number of years of Experience:

4 years’ experience as team Leader or SR. carpenter

Certification:

ITI Course

Education:

+2 (junior College)

Languages:

English and Hindi

Systems:

Basic computer knowledge, Word, Excel

Auto CAD knowledge

Sketch up Knowledge

Technical & Functional SkillS

Able to read and understand technical drawings (Auto Cad, Sketch Up)

Must have technical knowledge and knowledge of tools and machinery used in carpentry

Other skills and competencies

Interacting with the workers and motivating them to complete their tasks.

Must be flexible, proactive and have a positive attitude and accept change as per the company requirements.
