Job Description

Our client is looking for a talented Technical Animator to join a growing animation team. The Technical Animator remote role comes with a salary of up to £70,000 and excellent benefits.

As a Technical Animator, you will be handling rig creation and skinning of characters and props and improving pipelines for animators within Maya. You will also work with artists and programmers to implement future software and engine tools.

To give you an idea of how this Technical Animator role would look and feel, here are some things you could expect to do:

• Build, skin, test and maintain rigs for characters, weapons and assets across projects at the studio 
• Create and maintain animation tools, scripts, and pipelines to improve efficiency and workflow 
• Identify shortfalls in technical animation areas 
• Research new technologies and innovations to advance animation efficiency 
• Document tools and processes for the animation team 

To apply for this Technical Animation role, you will need experience working as a Technical animator in games and at least 2x shipped titles. You will also require:

• A reel showcasing rigging and tool creation experience 
• Knowledge of animation systems in-engine 
• Collaboration with other disciplines, including art and code 
• An ability to work with / take direction and feedback from others on the team
