We’re seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Therapy Documentation Assistant (TDA) to play a key role in our occupational therapy (OT) group sessions. What You’ll Do

  • Session Observation: Attend and observe all occupational therapy group sessions.
  • Progress Tracking: Record and monitor the progress of each child during sessions.
  • Data Capture: Accurately capture and organize program data for each child.
  • Daily Documentation: Document daily activities with a focus on accuracy and detail.
  • Report Writing: Synthesize observations and data into clear, cogent daily notes summarizing each child’s progress.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with occupational therapists and team members to ensure thorough documentation.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations regarding patient information.

Requirements

  • Educational Background: Baccalaureate degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, such as:
    • Elementary Education
    • Nursery - Grade 6 Elementary Education
    • Special Education
    • Students With Disabilities: Birth - Grade 2
    • Students With Disabilities: Grades 1 - 6
    • Child Psychology
    • Child Development
    • General Education
  • Skills:
    • Strong observational and organizational abilities.
    • Excellent written communication skills, with a focus on clarity and conciseness.
    • Keen attention to detail and accuracy in data capture.
    • Collaborative mindset and ability to work within a team.
  • Additional Knowledge: Familiarity with early childhood development and autism spectrum disorder is a plus.
  • Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using basic computer applications for documentation.

Preferred Teaching Certifications

  • Nursery - Grade 6
  • Birth - Grade 2
  • Pre-Kindergarten - Grade 6
  • Students With Disabilities: Birth - Grade 2
  • Students With Disabilities: Grades 1 - 6
  • Special Education: Nursery or Kindergarten - Grade 12

Salary and Benefits

  • Salary: $45,000 a year or $21.63 an hour
  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm.
