Summary

The Training and Development Manager supports the design, delivery, and ongoing improvement of training programs and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across KARM Stores. This role ensures that training materials and operational documentation align with organizational goals, promoting consistent performance. The manager assists team members in building skills and knowledge while reinforcing a culture of faith, accountability, and service. In collaboration with store and corporate leadership, this position helps maintain consistent customer and donor experiences, supports leadership development efforts, and contributes to mission-driven growth.

Essential Functions of the Job

  • Learning & Development Strategy
  • Support the execution of training strategies aligned with business goals and mission.
  • Help assess learning needs through performance data, feedback, and trends.
  • Assist in developing learning pathways for frontline, leadership, and corporate teams.
  • Program Design & Delivery
  • Assist in designing and delivering onboarding, technical, leadership, and continuing education programs.
  • Maintain and organize training resources (digital and in-person).
  • Facilitate training sessions using workshops, coaching, e-learning, and mentorship methods.
  • Leadership Development
  • Support leadership development initiatives by coordinating training for management and values-based leadership.
  • Help identify team members for development opportunities.
  • SOP Development & Maintenance
  • Document and update SOPs across departments with guidance from department leaders.
  • Assist in reviewing and maintaining SOPs to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Integrate SOPs into onboarding and training materials.
  • Team & Vendor Management
  • Coordinate tasks and schedules within the training team.
  • Assist with managing relationships with third-party vendors and training platforms.
  • Measurement & Continuous Improvement
  • Collect and track data to assess training effectiveness.
  • Gather feedback to recommend improvements to training programs.
  • Prepare reports and updates for the Vice President of People as needed.
