Restaurant Opening Training FOH Service (Contract - 1099)

Company: New School Consulting

Location: Various Properties (Travel Occasionally Required)

Compensation: $500/training day + $250/travel day

New School is building a one-of-its-kind family of independent contractors, providing exciting project-based opportunities specifically engineered for the gig economy, meeting everyone where they’re at. We are looking for experienced restaurant professionals with diverse backgrounds to support the launch of new dining concepts across varied properties.

This contract-based role (1099) offers an exciting opportunity to train and develop front-of-house teams in a variety of restaurant concepts. This role requires a dynamic leader with exceptional service experience, a passion for training, and the ability to adapt quickly.

What You'll Do:

  • Train front-of-house staff on service standards, guest experience, and operational excellence relevant to the restaurant concept.
  • Serve as a New School ambassador , ensuring brand integrity and consistency in all training, meeting and maintaining New School Consulting’s high standards.
  • Adapt to diverse restaurant concepts, from fine dining to casual settings.
  • Work on-site for one week at a time , providing hands-on coaching, education, and leadership.
  • Communicate effectively with restaurant teams, property managers, and New School leadership planning, executing, and debriefing each project.
  • Maintain organization, professionalism, and a solutions-oriented approach in fast-paced environments.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Extensive front-of-house restaurant experience, including management roles in a variety of concepts.
  • Strong training and coaching abilities with a keen understanding of hospitality operations.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a professional demeanor.
  • A quick learner who can adapt to various restaurant styles and service models.
  • Ability to maintain high standards of organization, service, and guest engagement.
  • Flexibility to travel and work a minimum of a 7-day-week-long engagement per assignment .
