Job Description
Video Storyteller and Podcast Producer
Responsibilities:
● Works with the Manager of Streaming Content and Development Senior to produce, edit,
and distribute several Shows in Streaming, VOD, and Podcast format several times per
week.
● Responsible for end-to-end VOD/podcasts and live streaming and distribution.
● Strong knowledge of Podcasts and Editing is essential to this role.
● Create, Copy edit, proofread, and format finance news video posts
● Edit long-form programs from Yahoo Finance’s daily live coverage for O&O and OTT
channels
● Research, edit, and produce compelling short-form videos related to the vodcasts and
podcasts on Yahoo Finance’s coverage
● Collaborate with reporters/editors to produce videos related to their areas of coverage
● Write compelling video headlines and copy for programming on Yahoo Finance’s website
Basic Qualifications:
● We seek multimedia producers with 4+ years of producing video and podcasts.
Experience within a news media outlet, digital media outlet preferred
● A medium-high level of experience in Premiere & Photoshop and a basic level of
knowledge in After Effects is essential
● Experience editing a variety of video styles/lengths is essential
● Comfortable pitching and executing video packages and shows daily
● Key knowledge of SEO and writing for multiple social platforms, including YouTube,
TikTok, Instagram & Twitter
● Hands-on experience with CMS and digital publishing tools
● Ability to work well with others in a highly collaborative environment
● Excellent time management skills and ability to balance priorities, multiple projects, and
tasks with ease
● This is an in-office role with the ability for some hybrid work
Preferred Qualifications
● B.A. preferred or equivalent job experience
● General knowledge of business and finance news
● Experience in video and podcasting is a plus
