Staff Management Group is seeking a Warehouse Operator for our client in Edison, NJ. Please read the ENTIRE job description and ALL of the job requirements BEFORE applying for this position.

Schedule:

• 1st Shift: 7AM - 3:30PM
• Plus Overtime

Pay Rate:

• $19 - $19.50 / hour 

Job Summary:

The Warehouse Operator position will contribute to the overall success of the warehouse operations performing a combination of tasks related to the receiving, transporting, picking, doing QC and loading products on a daily basis.

As part of the Outbound department, this role contributes to the overall satisfaction of Customers on the orders that are being shipped every day. This position will mainly ensure that orders are accurate, properly labeled and staged before loading, requiring a high level of attention to detail to avoid any mistake. The success of this role is measured by keeping a minimum error rate and ensuring trucks are timely loaded.

Job Responsibilities:

• Pick products (units, cases, pallets) as dictated by the order
• Identify and verify correct items and quantity to ensure that orders are accurate
• Prepare picked orders (verify, pack, label) for a shipment prior to moving to staging area before being loaded
• Build pallets for transportation to ensure stability
• Utilization of RF handheld devices to properly scan codes
• Load FTL or LTL based on outbound schedule
• Secure freight in trailers using appropriate tools and supplies
• Perform Daily equipment inspections
• Performs other general warehouse duties as needed

Job Requirements:

• MUST be bilingual (English & Spanish)
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Warehouse Operator
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a warehouse environment
• Material handling experience, including forklifts, reach trucks, order picker and pallet jacks
• Required experience in a warehouse with all and processes around receipt, put away, replenishment, picking, QC and loading
• Good communication skills
• Positive Attitude; Self Motivated
• Understanding of basic math skills
• Experience using RF guns and the ability to use a WMS preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
