For over 125 years, Calvary Hospital and Calvary @Home located in the Bronx, New York has been dedicated to the palliative care of advanced cancer and other terminally ill patients and their families. Through a caring, compassionate, philosophy of non-abandonment, the hospice provides a full spectrum of palliative services, including emotional, spiritual, and physical care. The hospice receives patients from referring institutions throughout New York City and the entire tristate area. Responsibilities:
A WOC Nurse (Wound, Ostomy, Continence) provides acute and rehabilitative care for people with selected disorders of the gastro-intestinal, genitourinary, and integumentary systems. The WOC Nurse provides direct care to patients with stomas, wounds, fistulas, drains, pressure ulcers, tubes and incontinence, and serves as an educator, consultant, and researcher. The WOC Nurse plays a pivotal role in the guidance of optimal patient care.
