Schedule: Monday-Friday 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. 

Status: Full-time

POSITION SUMMARY

This position performs entry-level duties as assigned for processing of production orders, light assembly, fabrication, inspection, and general inventory management of Custom Solutions products. In addition, they will do some light warehouse duties.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Locate, Print, and Pick production orders to be built
  • Interpret assembly instructions, drawings, and specifications
  • Assembly of fluid components per standard work
  • Precisely measure dimensions
  • Inspection and packaging of finished goods
  • Maintain Inventory
  • Operating of power tools
  • Safe use and care of equipment
  • Conduct equipment maintenance
  • Maintaining and cleaning the shared workspace
  • Improving the Custom Solutions processes and workspace

Education

  • High school education

Experience

  • 1-2 years of hands-on mechanical experience
  • Experience with Swagelok products preferred
  • Fast-paced production environment
  • Applying lean and continuous improvement methodology

Required Skills and Certifications

  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to work independently and without close supervision
  • Use of gauges, calipers, and measuring devices
  • Basic understanding of fluid systems and products
  • Basic math skills
  • Packaging goods for shipment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Skills and Certifications

  • Trade skills—job shop or high-volume production
  • Ability to interpret P & ID’s
  • Basic electrical knowledge
  • Ability to solve complex problems
  • Strong organizational skills

EQUIPMENT AND SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS

  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Proficiency using measuring devices in imperial and metric units

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Standing for extended time periods
  • Warehouse and shop environment including associated tools, forklift, and welding equipment
  • Bending and reaching for inventory and supplies
  • Some sitting at computer workstations for long periods
  • Ability to lift 60 pounds
