Summary: The Cyber Security SME IV role focuses on providing specialized skills and expertise in supporting complex cyber security projects. This position involves leading special projects, delivering technical analysis, ensuring compliance, and integrating innovative security solutions. Candidates should have extensive experience and relevant certifications, with a preference for those local to the Washington DC area.

• Clearance: Public Trust

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert advice and specialized skills for cyber security projects.
• Prepare and deliver analysis and presentations to stakeholders.
• Ensure proper use of engineering, configuring, programming, testing, and documentation techniques.
• Produce and review detailed documentation and reports.
• Lead special projects and research new technologies.
• Serve as a point of contact for engineering efforts, maintaining solution integrity and compliance.
• Work as a recognized authority on complex technical problems, providing innovative solutions.
• Conduct security planning, assessment, risk analysis, and risk management.
• Validate and verify system security requirements and establish system security designs.
• Design, develop, implement, and integrate IA and security systems and components.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Management Sciences, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field with 12-15 years of experience, or Master's degree with 10-12 years of experience, or PhD with 8-9 years of experience.
• 10+ years of related experience in the engineering/cyber discipline.
• Relevant certifications (one or more required):
  • CompTIA Net+
  • CompTIA A+
  • CompTIA Security+
  • GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC)
  • ISC2 Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Security
  • Certified Penetration Testing Engineer (CPTE)
  • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
  • Microsoft Certified Solution Expert (MCSE)
  • Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)
• Extensive technical expertise and ability to develop solutions to complex problems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to produce and review detailed documentation and reports.
• Ability to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance.
