And we want you to be a part of that! We are seeking a Deputy Editor to join our team. Highsnobiety is focused on refining and amplifying a crystal-clear editorial point of view that defines our brand, captivates a loyal audience, and drives our business forward. The Deputy Editor will work closely with the Editor-in-Chief to to build, maintain and reinforce the Highsnobiety point of view by turning our best and most ambitious ideas into reality. YOUR MISSION:
  • Commissioning and editing mid- and long-form features for all platforms, including Highsnobiety.com, all social channels, the Highsnobiety app, newsletter, White Papers, and any other form of editorial programming.
  • Managing a schedule and workflow for features, liaising between departments to see ideas through every step from conception to publication.
  • Top editing and/or line editing all text for tone, clarity, voice and POV.
  • Supporting the editor-in-chief in the development of new editorial programming, including columns, newsletters, podcasts and other new initiatives.
  • Maintaining a roster of freelance writers, columnists and other content talent who contribute across platforms.
  • Ensuring a high standard for editorial excellence is maintained across the website, social media channels, app, newsletter, and all other channels.
YOUR SKILLS:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in media.
  • Proficient line and copy editor with a sharp eye for grammar, tone, and style.
  • Ability to edit text of all length, including features, daily news, social media captions, and headlines.
  • High level of interest in and enthusiasm for the worlds of fashion, style and culture.

The range is based on many factors including location, experience, and relevant skill set.
