Role Overview

Zoe Feldman Design is searching for a creative and motivated Design Intern to join our team in the Georgetown office for a six-month internship program. The Design Intern will work under the direction of our design teams and will assist in the various aspects of the design process. The ideal candidate is passionate about design, has an eagerness to learn, and strong communication skills. This role will be in-office and typical daily work hours will be 9:00am-5:30pm.

Skills & Qualifications

• Working towards or recently earned a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture , or a related field preferred
• Eagerness to learn and a passion for interior design.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Technologically proficient, with familiarity in tools such as Google Drive, Slack, ClickUp (or similar project management tool), and Studio Designer considered a plus
• Access to a car is preferred for occasional travel to project sites, design center, and vendor locations

Physical Requirements

• Ability to navigate active construction sites, including climbing stairs and standing or moving for extended periods
• Ability to lift and carry packages or materials up to 30 lbs as needed
• Ability to communicate clearly with clients, contractors, vendors, and team members on site

Key Responsibilities

• Organizing the sample library and inventory/styling spaces. 
• Completing errands and bookings required by the designers on projects, including picking up samples and making returns. 
• Ordering samples and communicating with vendors. 
• Helping with the organization of project files and documentation.
• Maintaining a clean office environment, including the kitchen area.
• Helping with the preparation of design presentations and other visual materials.
• Researching new vendors and products as directed by the designers and project managers. 
• Helping with large scale installations on site.
• Assisting the design and operations teams with ad hoc tasks and projects.
