Job Title: Director of Finance
Schedule: Part-Time 25-30/hours/week
Job Description: The Director of Finance will lead financial strategy and operations for our nonprofit, responsible for developing annual budgets, managing monthly and quarterly financial reporting, ensuring compliance with nonprofit accounting standards, overseeing accounts payable and receivable, preparing tax documentation, and collaborating closely with executive leadership to support the organization's fiscal health.
Key Responsibilities:
Management Functions:
· Develop and monitor comprehensive annual organizational budget aligned with strategic goals
· Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
· Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash flow management processes
· Ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting requirements
· Conduct financial analysis and provide strategic insights to executive leadership
· Oversee internal financial controls and audit preparation processes
· Manage financial software systems and maintain precise accounting records
· Collaborate with board finance committee and external auditors
· Track and report on grant funding, restricted funds, and program-specific financial allocations
· Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to support organizational fiscal health
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field with CPA certification preferred
· Minimum 3 years of nonprofit financial management experience
· Proficiency in fund accounting and financial management software
· Demonstrated ability to develop budgets, conduct financial analysis, and provide strategic fiscal insights
· Strong understanding of nonprofit financial compliance and reporting requirements
Compensation range DOE: $65-80/hour
