Dog Training Position: Full Time or Part Time Available; Experience REQUIRED. Commission or Hourly available.

Camp Bow Wow Rockaway, a family owned & operated Premier Dog Care Facility, is currently looking for hard-working, team-oriented individuals to join our team! Our Dog Training Department is run by our Head Trainer who is AKC CGC Certified, and has been in the industry for 20 years, and specializes in Behavior Modification.

As a Dog Trainer at Camp Bow Wow Rockaway, you will be conducting specific training sessions with dogs, using positive reinforcement, to work towards goals that are given for each scenario. Our options include Group Classes, Private Training, Board & Train Programs, and Day Training Programs; so there is plenty of room to work and grow within our Company. We have 2 locations: one in Morristown and one in Rockaway, NJ. We are always looking to expand our offerings and are looking for more members to join the team and help us get there!

Job Responsibilities:

• Communicating with clients in a friendly and professional manner about our Training Programs.
• Making sure the Training areas are kept clean and sanitary.
• Conducting Training Sessions using Positive Reinforcement Methods with dogs of all ages, sizes, and breeds.
• Assist with overseeing Group Play Yards and monitoring dogs' behaviors, as needed.
• Document notes for all Training Dogs and communicate feedback for all clients.
• Report back to our Head Trainer to go over any issues, or client concerns.
• Basic Kennel Care
• Supervising Play Groups of Dogs
• Conducting New Dog Temperament Tests.
• Deep Cleaning of Facility.

Requirements:

• Prior Dog Handling/Training Experience using Positive Reinforcement.
• Experience Handling dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities.
• Ability to read dog body language.
• Knowledge in Dog Behavior.
• Dog Training Certificate preferred, but not required.
• Flexible Schedule Preferred.
• Team Player.
• Ability to talk to professionally and effectively speak to clients regarding dog behavior and our Training Programs.
