ELECTRICAL ESTIMATOR
Leading New York City electrical construction contractor is seeking an experienced Estimator with proven experience in the electrical field and strong technical skills.
DESCRIPTION:
Duties
Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical projects based on project plans and specifications.
Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate pricing and timely submission of bids.
Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather necessary information for estimating.
Utilize construction estimating software, including Bluebeam, to create comprehensive estimates.
Monitor costs throughout the project lifecycle to ensure adherence to budgetary goals.
Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to achieve favorable pricing.
Maintain organized records of all estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to projects.
Experience
Proven experience in construction estimating, particularly in electrical projects.
Familiarity with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards is preferred.
Strong understanding of construction site operations and management practices.
Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail in cost control measures.
Proficiency in using estimating software such as Bluebeam or similar tools.
Ability to effectively communicate and negotiate with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
A background in electrical work or related fields is advantageous.

SALARY: $100-120K + Benefits and bonus.
