Franchise Tax Board's Enterprise Procedures & Training Unit within the Enterprise Talent Development Section is looking for a knowledgeable and dynamic individual to join the Enterprise Training Team.

This individual will be responsible for assisting in the development, and maintenance of Enterprise Tax System (ETS) training materials for the enterprise. This effort involves monitoring system changes, analyzing upcoming changes to determine Enterprise Training impacts, integrating enterprise training with division training, and performing knowledge transfer activities. his individual will also build upon their knowledge of the Enterprise as they collaborate with various groups within the enterprise to ensure the most effective products are released. This individual will help promote an environment and atmosphere of teamwork, collaboration and cooperation consistent with the department's values among staff and managers across the enterprise.

Working Conditions

  • This position is eligible for limited remote-working within California based on departmental guidelines and operational need. FTB has a minimum in-office requirement of four days per week for all positions including those that are eligible for telework.

  • Experience leading projects and working with multiple stakeholder groups
  • Experience facilitating engaging and effective meetings with various customers
  • Strong knowledge of Franchise Tax Board's (FTB) organization, operations, and systems
  • Ability to analyze and provide customer service for Personal Income Tax (PIT) and Business Entity (BE) accounts
  • Knowledge and working experience using Taxpayer Folder (TPF), Case Management (CM), Return Analysis (RA), Notifications, Taxpayer Information (TI), Business Entity Tax System (BETS), Accounts Receivable Collection System (ARCS), Professional Audit Support System (PASS), and Integrated Nonfiler Compliance (INC)
  • Strong knowledge of departmental policies, principles, practices, and procedures
  • Strong knowledge of Enterprise Procedures Manual (EPM), the update process, and how local business area procedures interact with EPM
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Project lead or management experience
  • Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner to obtain understanding and gain buy in
  • Experience developing and delivering formal classroom-style training in various modalities
  • Ability to evaluate system and process updates to determine business process impacts
  • Familiar with applying department writing and accessibility standards
  • Ability to foster cooperative working relationships
  • Ability to remain flexible with competing priorities and effectively prioritize competing demands
  • Proficient with MS Office programs like Word, Excel, Sharepoint, and Forms
  • Familiar with enterprise software like RoboHelp, Adobe Captivate, MS Project, and/or Team Foundation Software (TFS)
