Job Description

As our Forklift Safety Trainer you’ll play a key role in keeping our customers and employees safe when working around heavy equipment. This position is internally and externally customer facing, and requires a passion for teaching, training and safety.

 

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Instruct and train on various safety topics around material handling and logistics, including forklift operator training, OSHA compliance and warehouse safety for new hires and existing employees
• Create classroom presentations, conduct hands on, job specific training
• Partner with external customers to understand safety requirements and training needs
• Negotiate training costs with customers, schedule classes and follow up on leads for additional opportunities
• Create certification of completion of training

Job Requirements

• 5 years’ experience in the material handling industry, 2+ years’ experience in a training capacity
• Strong working knowledge around OSHA requirements
• Strong customer service skills, previous classroom or job site training preferred
