Job Description

SBHS has Full Time Inpatient Art Therapist  position available

The candidate selected will be responsible for the following:   Provides art/expressive therapy in group settings in our inpatient hospital, designs activities, completes art/expressive therapy assessments, conducts 1:1 expressive/art therapy with long term patients.  Involvement in special projects, displays and initiatives.

Sunday through Wednesday, alternating Thursdays and Saturdays

Streamwood Behavioral Healthcare System (SBHS) is a 178-bed acute care facility located in Streamwood,IL and has been providing mental health treatment to the Chicagoland community and the state of Illinois since 1991. We are dedicated to offering services to meet the ever-changing emotional and behavioral healthcare needs of children, adolescents, and their families.  

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION :   Master's Degree in Art Therapy REQUIRED .   Experience in conducting group and individual art therapy.

SKILLS :  Time management, psychotherapy, organizational skills, empathy.  Ability to develop therapeutic rapport.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: ATR eligible,, ATR preferred, or Certification as ATR-BC
