As the IT Director, you will oversee the strategic planning, organization, and execution of all IT operations across the company. The IT Director establishes and maintains the dealership's network environment, directories, and security protocols. In this role, you will manage the support and maintenance of existing applications while driving the development and implementation of innovative technical solutions. As the IT Director, you will actively participate in hardware and software evaluations and oversee the management of vendor contracts. You will make informed purchasing decisions based on bid pricing, ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance throughout the process. To excel in this role, it is essential to stay updated on industry trends and ensure compliance with security measures and safeguards. Additionally, effectively communicating updates to IT policies and procedures. Strong interpersonal communication skills are essential, as you will be tasked with explaining technical concepts to both technical and non-technical managers and employees. You will also collaborate with various organizational leaders to build consensus on strategies and tactics.
This position regularly requires up to 60% local travel.
IT Director Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or related field
- 8 plus years of IT experience
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Experience in implementing effective and innovative software development methodology
