Company Overview:

Landscaping By J Michael is a landscape & irrigation company providing services to both residential, commercial and public construction throughout Massachusetts.  We have over 35 years of experience in all aspects of the industry.

We are looking for career minded landscape designer or registered Landscape Architect to join our staff.  Must be familiar with designing projects using various types of material such as concrete pavers, segmented blocks, natural bluestone, porcelain pavers, natural stone, veneer, brick/mortar, blocks and concrete work.  Solid plant knowledge to our region is required.  Has performed permitting services to residential clients as required.

Job Duties:

Duties will include meeting clients, attend pre-bid meetings, bid openings, research, mapping, estimating using BlueBeam or other software performing QTO’s, project managing and commercial estimating.  Must be comfortable working independently when required, trustworthy, and good work habits.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Qualified candidates with excellent leadership, ability to create designs on Design Software, and organizational skills are needed for both our private and commercial divisions. Duties include but not limited to:
  1. Develop sale leads/data base of potential clients.
  2. Seek opportunity to provide landscape designs, installations, and maintenance bids to potential clients.
  3. Review landscapes of properties, estimate cost of services, and provide proposal for clients.
  4. Close and secure landscape contracts.

• Proven experience in designing, outdoor living environments, gardening, plant id, and meeting budgets as well as time constraints are mandatory.
  1. Horticultural and/or irrigation experience a must.
  2. Experience in selling designs, estimating and managing installs
  3. Minimum of 5 years experience in residential design.
  4. BA in Landscape Architecture or Registered Landscape Architect
