At Cool Runnings Jamaican Grill, we pride ourselves on delivering authentic, mouthwatering Jamaican dishes with every order. We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Line Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team and help us maintain our reputation for excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, cook, and plate high-quality Jamaican dishes in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.
• Ensure food is cooked to perfection, with attention to flavor, presentation, and authenticity.
• Follow recipe guidelines and ensure consistency in all dishes.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
• Assist with inventory management'
• Work closely with the kitchen team to meet customer demands during peak hours.
• Take pride in every dish you prepare, ensuring it aligns with our high standards.
• Adapt to feedback and adjust quickly in a high-pressure setting.

Responsibilities:

● Maintaining a sanitized and well-organized kitchen.

● Preparing workstations for cooking.

● Preparing and maintaining kitchen equipment.

● Checking the quality of the ingredients.

● Preparing cooking ingredients using various techniques.

● Cooking food using various culinary techniques.

● Plating and arranging food and ensuring appealing presentation.

● Manage food storage, stock, and ingredient orders.

The person we are hoping to employ is first and foremost a skilled and organized cook. We are looking for someone to work as a team player, follow instructions, and help us delight our customers with delicious food from our menu. In addition to knowing your way around a busy commercial kitchen, great communication and organizational skills are critical.

Requirements:

● Must have prior experience as a cook, preferably NOT fast food.

● Must be skilled in operating kitchen equipment.

● Must be skilled in various cooking techniques.

● Must know and follow sanitation procedures.

● Must demonstrate teamwork and communication skills.

● Must demonstrate solid organizational skills.

● Must be able to multitask and act quickly.

● Must have at least a high school diploma.
