Hiring Mechanical Assembler and Electrical Assembler for a well-branded Thunder Bay transit + streetcar manufacturer. This role pays $21/HR, 8+ month work project, and Day or Afternoon schedules. Will a ssembly components in commercial products per specs, review drawings and interprets assembly directives. We're ready to hire! Job Specs:

• Title(s):  Mechanical Assembler or Electrical Assembler

• Position Type: 8+ Month contract

• Pay Rate : $21/HR

• (2) Shifts available: 7am - 3:30pm/EST or 3:00pm - 12:00am/EST

• Work Location: Thunder Bay, ON - 100% Onsite

Work Duties "At-a-Glance":

• Detail assemblies of mechanical, structural, and electrical parts
• Read engineering drawings and instructional sheets
• Inspect installations, correct snags and door adjustments
• Rivet and assemble sheet metal, tubing, bars and extrusions
• Use upright drills, sanders, grinders, deburring machines, drill sharpener and routers

Job Requirements

Work and Skills requirements:

• 3 - 5 years' experience of industrial fitting, mechanical or electrical assemblies
• Meet physical demands to stand, stoop, bend, lift up to 50lbs, walk, climb around the trains on the manufacturing floor
• Able to meet + pass the background check requirements
• HS diploma or specialized training is a plus
