We are looking for a dedicated Microbiology Clinical Lab Scientist II like you to be a part of our team. **Job Summary and Qualifications** Our Clinical Lab Scientists (level II) perform clinical testing in one or more of the following areas: blood bank, chemistry, serology, hematology, urinalysis, coagulation, special chemistry, microbiology and manual tests.Our team is amazing, we consider ourselves a family who work hard to support each other and we are looking for someone who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. If that is you, come be a part of what makes us great and apply today! + You will perform automated, semi-automated and manual procedures in the fields of bacteriology, parasitology, hematology, coagulation, serology, chemistry, urinalysis, immunology, and immunohematology. According to established procedures and policies + You will perform preventative maintenance on laboratory instrumentation, interpret results as to their accuracy, acceptability and critical limits and organizes work to meet established deadlines and record all data obtained + You will work actively and be cooperative with nursing and other hospital staff to ensure timely patient care as well as assist with regulatory compliance + You will be responsible for training lab personnel and are expected to perform in-charge assignment in the absence of a manager **What you will need:** + Current Clinical Laboratory Scientist license per CA State Board + At least five years of acute care hospital experience + Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or equivalent from an accredited college or university + Microbiology Experience Good Samaritan Hospital ( has been serving Silicon Valley since 1965, giving patient's access to highly-trained physicians and advanced technology.
