Summary

Quilla Academy is now looking for part-time after school teachers to join our team and help us build a fun and enriching after school program for kids in Pre-K through 5th grade. The hours for this position are 2:30-5:45 p.m. Monday-Friday starting Monday, July 28th.

Additional hours are available starting at 11 a.m. to help relieve preschool teachers' lunch breaks if so desired.

Interviews can be scheduled from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Monday through Friday. Applicants must be able to get and pass a fingerprint based background check before they are eligible to be hired.

Duties

Job responsibilities include:

• supervising and caring for after school students.
• planning and implementing fun extracurricular activities.
• developing positive relationships with students and their families.
• maintaining a clean and organized classroom.
• occasionally assisting in preschool classrooms.
• attending and completing child care training courses.

Requirements

Applicants should be energetic and enthusiastic about providing children with excellent after school experiences. They should also be flexible, work well with others, and have strong communication skills.

Job requirements include:

• Satisfactory result on a fingerprint based background check.
• Previous experience working with school age children.
• The ability to stand for long periods of time.
• The ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
• CPR/First Aid certification or the willingness to get certification in a timely manner.

Nice To Haves

Nice to Haves (not required):

• Previous experience teaching in an after school or camp program.
• Training in after school or camp programs.
• Willingness to drive a mini school bus with a good driving record.
