CANDIDATE MUST RESIDE CURRENTLY IN NEW YORK STATE.
Must have at least 3 years experience in healthcare recruiting.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Networks with program directors, medical staff and professional society leadership and journal editors. Attends to all items related to recruiting, interviewing and screening candidates. Develops and monitors physician|APC recruitment and retention budget. Managing open positions from requisition to hire. Providing expert assistance to senior management throughout the recruitment process. Developing strong Hospital and Physician|APC relationships and maintaining communication with both. Analyze market trends|monitor openings and turnover|strategize on potential recruiting gaps or need areas within discipline, consult with property and regional based stakeholders as appropriate to share information|update and maintain posting within region. Develop and maintain a network of contacts with area employment resources, participate in job fairs and other association events as needed. Work collectively with members of the Administrative Team to develop new or enhance existing processes, procedures and programs which position the recruiting function as a highly effective and best in candidates. Coordinates the credentialing and enrollment of physicians in third party payers. Works with Administrative Team and HR to coordinate and schedule all on-boarding and orientation of new providers. Plans recruiting and retention strategies (national or regional specific) to enhance hospital reputation and increase acceptance and retention rates.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field required.

PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS:
Minimum:
Certified Medical Staff Coordinator or Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist or obtain within 12 months of hire into position.

WORK EXPERIENCE:
Minimum:
Three years of healthcare recruiter experience or five years of experience managing a physician-based operation in a healthcare setting
Preferred:
Credentialing, Regulatory Compliance and experience in physician recruitment | retention | contract negotiations

SKILLS:
Minimum:
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and demonstrate a high degree of tact, diplomacy and well-developed human relations skills.
Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling.
Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and oral) and organizational skills.
Computer literacy.
Preferred:
Experience with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Power Point.
