Job Title: Production Lead-2nd Shift

Job Description:

The Production Packaging Lead will verse the specific team they are assigned to. They will work under the direction of and report directly to the Production Packaging Supervisor. The Shift Lead's role is to share their knowledge and skills with members and assist other team members with the functions of the team to perform tasks as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide customer service by listening, communicating effectively, and problem solving.
Department Objectives:
Responsible for completing the daily production schedule on a timely basis
Responsible for maintaining an accurate daily production reports and quality documents
Complete knowledge of department concepts, practices, and procedures
Ability to operate forklifts and electrical pallets jacks
Able to support Packaging team operations including organizing schedules and breaks, assisting on team training and development, and communicate information to team and manager.
Completed daily quality related production paperwork (to include 1st off forms, metal detection/scale checks, temperature checks, sanitizer checks)
Provides continuous feedback to production operators on product quality
Ensures products are produced to customer/ KPC standard
Assists production with any questions around customer spec
Safety & Quality:
Ensures compliance with regulations, company policies, procedures related to team member safety, and quality programs
Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe work area
Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Job Requirements:
Education/Certifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Experience:
Preferred: 1 years of experience in a related manufacturing setting
Knowledge/Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills *Bilingual-Preferred*
Excellent customer service and coordinating skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail/accuracy
Independent problem solving and decision making skills
Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within related field
Abilities:
Ability to keep up with production pace.
Ability to troubleshoot problems throughout the production run.
Ability to work in a team oriented environment.
Ability to work in a 5S environment.
Ability to be flexible with work hours, shifts, and weekend schedule
Contacts:
Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
Must operate production equipment or machinery; use of hand tools, and operate a pallet jack
Team member will stand for an extended period of time. He must be able to see, talk, hear, have manual dexterity with hands and feet, reach with either hands or legs, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
Required to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
Involves routine exposure to extreme temperatures, humidity, and/or noise when working in production and in warehouse.
