RELIGIOUS EDUCATION TEACHER

St. Francis Preparatory School is a private, Franciscan, co-educational high school located in Fresh Meadows, NY. The mission of our Religious Education program seeks to nurture the faith development of our diverse student population with respect to students as whole persons. Freshman and Sophomore level classes provide an important foundation to students regarding the Roman Catholic Church, the wisdom of the Hebrew and Christian Scriptures, an understanding of the mission of Jesus Christ as well as opportunity to explore good moral decision making in their lives. Our Junior and Senior level classes offer a variety of courses which allow students to deepen their understanding of the foundations of faith and apply this wisdom in service to others and the world in which we live. We are actively seeking a qualified person to teach full-time in our Religious Education Department starting in September 2025. Qualifications:

• Practicing Roman Catholic excited about sharing his/her faith
• B.A./B.S. in related field; Master's Degree in Theology/Religious Education preferred
• Experience in Youth/Campus Ministry appreciated
• Enjoys working with adolescents; understands adolescent developmental stages and needs
• Good communication, organizational and lesson-planning skills which focus on student-centered instruction
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues cooperatively and make contributions to the development of curricula
• Ability/willingness to integrate technology effectively into classroom instruction

(We are an iPad 1:1 school and have SmartBoards in every classroom.) Compensation:
