Senior Accountant

Role overview The Senior Accountant plays a key leadership role within the accounting team, guiding project accountants and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial processes. This position manages select projects directly and serves as a backup for other project accountants when needed. Responsibilities - Support in the preparation of monthly and annual statements financials statements
- Enforce financial system policies and procedures
- Project accountant responsibilities: budgeting,cost tracking, progress billings, change orders, subcontractors and vendor payments, project cash flow, lien notice tracking and other project related financial responsibilities
- Monthly bank reconciliation
- Monthly sales tax reporting
- Intercompany transactions
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related degree or 5 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Requirements:
Skills - Proficiency with Microsoft Office products required. Especially Excel.
- Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Strong accounting skills and knowledge of Statutory accounting principles
- Understanding of lien notices process.

- Self-motivated and self-directed
- Ability to work closely with senior management team.
Logistics Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Typical workdays and hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This is an office position. Travel Very little overnight travel is anticipated for this position. Some occasional local day travel may be necessary.
