Overview:
As a Senior Associate, you will play a pivotal role in conducting detailed audit work and documenting findings in audit work papers. You'll assist in preparing work plans and project deliverables, including analyzing reports, statements, and accounting records to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations. Your responsibilities will include supervising Associates, reviewing staff work papers, and communicating findings to supervisors.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct detailed audit work and document results in audit work papers.
Assist in preparing work plans and project deliverables, performing critical test procedures.
Supervise Associates and review staff work papers.
Requirements:
2 or more years of professional experience as an accountant or consultant in public accounting or professional services.
Familiarity with GAO Financial Audit Manual (FAM) and intermediate understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), AICPA, GAO, and FASAB regulations.
Ability to perform financial, program, grant, and compliance audits.
Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High attention to detail, analytical skills, and organizational abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Visio.
U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status.
Preferred Qualifications:
CPA (Certified Public Accountant) license.
Master's degree in a related field.
Effective communication in explaining audit findings.
Strong problem-solving abilities.
High ethical standards and professionalism.
Clearance:
Applicants selected will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility for access to classified information; a Secret (government) clearance is required.

Compensation and Benefits:
Salary range: $70,000 - $80,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
