About The Role

Join our team as a Senior Molecular Biologist where you'll collaborate directly with our Chief Scientific Officer and Director of Biology to drive forward our strategic initiatives. In this role, you'll leverage cutting-edge molecular biology techniques to investigate drug resistance mechanisms, playing a pivotal role in shaping the scientific direction of our company.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities Will Include

  1. Spearheading innovative CRISPR-based chemogenetic screens to uncover drug response and resistance mechanisms.
  2. Engineering cell lines to express novel proteins and conducting proteomic assays.
  3. Conducting affinity purification assays and overseeing off-site proteomic analysis.
  4. Designing unique in situ reporter assays to evaluate cellular responses to perturbagens.
  5. Collaborating with computational team members to analyze and model experimental data.
  6. Developing and implementing experimental strategies to understand cellular evolution under anti-cancer treatments.
  7. Managing vendors and external contractors to ensure project goals are met.
  8. Presenting research findings at top conferences and in leading journals.

Desired Qualifications

  • A PhD in genetics, molecular biology, biochemistry, or related field.
  • Experience with end-to-end CRISPR screening protocols and cell engineering techniques.
  • Strong background in designing and executing independent research experiments.
  • Passion for innovative and rigorous scientific inquiry.
  • Familiarity with protein-protein interaction mapping techniques is a plus.
  • Previous experience with in vivo animal work and flow cytometry is advantageous.
  • Ability to work in our New York City lab facilities.
