How you will make an impact:
The shipping and receiving Site Specialist II is responsible for performing a variety of critical tasks under general supervision. This individual will ensure the delivery of all external and internal shipments following established standard operating procedures while staying aligned with all DOT / IATA regulations.
What you will do:
Daily receiving of customer packages and shipments
Ensure deliveries of customer inbound freight and packages to various locations throughout customer site are completed accurately.
Working with end user community to coordinate deliveries.
Communicate with supervisor any customer issues or potential problems.
Adopts Practical Process Improvement (PPI) methodologies
Maintain Shipping and Receiving packing materials
Daily use of powered and manual pallet jacks and lifters
Strong attention to detail in daily site safety procedures
Review work instructions with leadership and colleagues
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent(GED)
College degree preferred, but not required.
Experience:
1-3 years of dynamic proven experience required
Experience in laboratory setting or services preferred
Experience in GLP/GMP environment a plus
Phenomenal customer service skills
Experience with receiving dangerous goods a plus
