Support department manager in directing and coordinating daily shift support activities for skilled trade’s personnel including functions for the tool shop and manufacturing equipment such as die tooling and stamping processes on assigned shift.
Responsibilities:
Act as key contact to department manager and Operations team supervision on assigned shift to ensure good communication and information flow on status of spare parts, work orders, projects, and line down updates.
Collect requested work assignments from Engineering and Operations, assign and distribute projects to appropriate die technicians and track the progress of project completion.
Support actions and assignments to ensure conformance to TE procedures, policies, and methods.
Support and drive all TPM, PM, Lean and 5S+1 Actions and initiatives through assigned shift.
Support all TE safety initiatives within the department not limited to but including, OSHA standards, PPE compliance, safety compliance resolutions and near hits, monthly training, fire/disaster drills and execution thereof.
Ensure work orders are completed in an efficient timely fashion in accordance with department procedures and operation priorities.
Support Department Manager in evaluating and verifying employee performance through the review of completed work assignments and work techniques.
Supports and identifies staff development and training needs and ensures training goals are obtained.
Support and be accountable to department budget, cost savings ideas, and drive continuous improvement suggestions through assigned shift.
Engage and drive outside suppliers and equipment manufactures for technical support, process improvement needs and training.
Perform duties related to Die Engineering support including but not limited to various PM’s, troubleshooting, tool repair, tooling construction, 5S, and project related tasks.
This is a 1st shift role.
Candidate should have an AS Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/ Manufacturing Technology with 5 years of tool making or mold making experience or 8+ years of experience and demonstrated leadership skills.
Candidate needs considerable knowledge of standards, methods, principles, practices, tools and equipment used in tool making trades.
Must have documented knowledge and experience relating to die tooling, tool making, stamping presses, progressive stamping auxiliary systems (such as visions, reelers, dereelers, welders and other automated equipment), and other applicable plant machining equipment.
Working knowledge of MS Office tools such as Excel, Word, & Outlook.
Working knowledge of Six Sigma, 5S, and Lean Manufacturing tools (Green Belt Certification) is a strong plus.
Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
Individual must be a “Team Player” that can work in a fasted paced environment with multiple changing priorities.
Must be proficient in the English language

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $73,840 – $110,760 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
