Job Description

Altru Health System and Universal Health Services are working together in expanding inpatient behavioral health services. The two companies are developing an inpatient behavioral health facility in Grand Forks, North Dakota. The goal for this facility will be to launch a new 24 bed program at the current Altru facility to accommodate both adult and pediatric patients with an additional 24 bed expansion planned for 2026.  Our newly renovated 24-bed facility is set to open in January, 2025 and will feature an intake department for walk-ins. 

The Social Worker is responsible for providing direct high quality psychotherapy services to patients in assessments, diagnoses, treatment planning, group treatment, individual treatment, family treatment, and discharge planning. The Social Worker assists patients and their families in understanding and adjusting to diagnoses and potential treatments. The Social Worker can also help identify resources during treatment and after discharge.

Minium of Master's Degree in Social Work or related field. Previous clinical experience working within a psychiatric inpatient facility preferred. Psy.D, LPCC, LPC, LAPC, LCSW, LMSW, LMFT, and LAMFT in state of ND required.
