Job Description

Sports Management Internship at Lakeshore Sports Club (Downtown) will assist in the day-to-day operations of all club and community events. Duties will also include inventory management, equipment maintenance, event staff management with a special emphasis on customer service with the public. The internship position requires evening and weekend hours. Applicants should be recreation, sports management or marketing degree candidates looking to work on the operations and marketing side of Lakeshore Sports Club’s summer events team. Typically, 25 of the 40 hours are paid and depending on your school requirements and tasks during each week. 

Dates: May 2025, thru October 2025 (start and end dates are flexible)
Requirements

• Degree or enrolled towards a degree in sports management, physical education, recreation, or related field.
• Ability to work 40 hours a week. Will be paid for 25 hours at $15.80-to-$16.80 per hour.
• 25 hours to be paid for active event duties and the remaining 15 hours are unpaid for administrative & management duties associated with completion of Internship program assignments and projects. 
• Friendly, outgoing and can oversee children and adults in a high-pressure outdoor environment.
• Interested in marketing, event and sports and recreational activities.

Responsibilities

• Team leader for events, camps, and rental on the day of the activity.
• Provide excellent customer service and also assist in planning and booking summer camps, rentals, and events.
• Manage event supplies and equipment inventory. This includes inspection for defects and ease of use.
