Job Description

Job Title: Weekend MRI Technologist – Contract

Location: New York, NY 10029

Work Schedule: Saturday & Sunday, 12:00am–8:00am

Total Hours: 15 per week

Overview

An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled MRI Technologist to work weekend overnight shifts. The successful candidate will perform MRI studies, ensure quality imaging, and maintain strict adherence to patient safety protocols.

Responsibilities
  • Perform MRI imaging procedures, ensuring accuracy and image quality.

  • Confirm patient eligibility and review all safety forms.

  • Educate and prepare patients for MRI scans.

  • Position patients and coils for optimal image capture.

  • Label and transmit studies to PACS promptly.

  • Record information in IDX (Radiology Information System).

  • Maintain MRI suite safety, cleanliness, and supply levels.

  • Report equipment issues and unsafe conditions immediately.

  • Support physicians with procedures when needed.

  • Uphold infection control standards and MRI safety protocols.

Qualifications
  • Completion of an AMA/J.C.E.R.T. approved Radiologic Technology program.

  • Required Certifications:

    • NY State Radiologic Technologist License

    • ARRT Certification in MRI

    • BCLS Certification

  • Experience: 2+ years of MRI experience required, with scanner platform proficiency.
