Job Title: Weekend MRI Technologist – Contract
Location: New York, NY 10029
Work Schedule: Saturday & Sunday, 12:00am–8:00am
Total Hours: 15 per week
An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled MRI Technologist to work weekend overnight shifts. The successful candidate will perform MRI studies, ensure quality imaging, and maintain strict adherence to patient safety protocols.
ResponsibilitiesPerform MRI imaging procedures, ensuring accuracy and image quality.
Confirm patient eligibility and review all safety forms.
Educate and prepare patients for MRI scans.
Position patients and coils for optimal image capture.
Label and transmit studies to PACS promptly.
Record information in IDX (Radiology Information System).
Maintain MRI suite safety, cleanliness, and supply levels.
Report equipment issues and unsafe conditions immediately.
Support physicians with procedures when needed.
Uphold infection control standards and MRI safety protocols.
Completion of an AMA/J.C.E.R.T. approved Radiologic Technology program.
Required Certifications:
NY State Radiologic Technologist License
ARRT Certification in MRI
BCLS Certification
Experience: 2+ years of MRI experience required, with scanner platform proficiency.
