Job Title: Wellfield and Pipeline I & E Technician

Reports To: Maintenance General Foreman

Location: New Mexico – HB Plant

OVERVIEW
A Wellfield and Pipeline I & E Technician troubleshoots cause of failure, recommends repairs and performs general maintenance of wellfield and pipeline equipment, systems and surrounding equipment. This position requires the ability to work safely, whether independently or within a team, mechanical and pipeline knowledge, and flexibility for on-call schedules. 

JOB DUTIES  

• Execute routine preventative maintenance checklist items, including, but not limited to lubrication and greasing of equipment, replacing valves and pumps, oil levels, pipeline repairs, pump repairs, etc.  
• Conduct pre-shift inspections to ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently 
• Troubleshoot, repair, replace and/or rebuild malfunctioning equipment 
• Maintain and clean pipeline and wellfield equipment, above-ground machinery, wellfield pumps, pipelines, etc.  
• Operate crane truck 
• Troubleshoot low and medium voltage circuits and sensors
• Repair and provide preventative maintenance on VFDs
• Perform other duties as assigned 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

• High school diploma or GED 
• Valid Driver’s License 
• Minimum two (2) years of industrial experience required 
• One (1) year pipeline maintenance experience preferred 
• One (1) year electrical experience preferred
• Must be able to provide own basic American made mechanic hand tools (metric and SAE up to 1 – ¼ SAE and 30mm metric) – tool replacement program is in place once hired
• Must be able to work outdoors for long periods of time 
• Must be available to work overtime and a call-out schedule for a 24/7 operation

SCHEDULE AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
9/80 schedule, day shift. As part of a 24/7 maintenance support team, employees will be on-call. Overtime may be required to complete tasks and keep equipment running. Schedule subject to change. 

• Outdoors, in a non-temperature controlled environment, and subject to weather conditions
• Exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels.
  Employees are required to always wear safety attire and personal protective equipment (PPE). 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Job physical requirements include standing, walking, sitting, talking or hearing, making visual inspections, making precise hand and finger movements, twisting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, reaching or grasping. Must be able to lift 50 lbs., and push and/or pull up to 50 lbs. Must be able to climb stairs and/or ladders, and work at heights. Will be required to wear personal protective equipment as needed and engage in strenuous physical activity. 

 

A pre-placement physical and hair follicle drug test will be required for anyone selected for this opportunity. Placement into the position will not be made until the results are received and cleared by Intrepid.
