Job Description

THIS IS A CIVIL SERVICE POSITION. FOR FURTHER CONSIDERATION, PLEASE SUBMIT THE CITY OF SARATOGA SPRINGS APPLICATION.

SALARY:
$15.00 per hour - Full time (seasonal) and part time hours available - shifts typically 11a – 6p

 

LOCATION: City of Saratoga Springs – Congress Park - Department of Public Works 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: T he following qualification(s) MUST be met and clearly stated on the City of Saratoga Springs employment application form:

To operate the carousel, applicants must be at least 16yrs of age;

There are no minimum qualifications, however it should be noted that working weekends, some evenings, and holidays will be mandatory. Willing to work a flexible schedule. Your name and DOB will be checked through the DCJS Sex Offender Registry. 

TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES : (Illustrative only)

  • Providing guests with an excellent experience from buying their token to exiting the ride
  • Treating guests in a kind and respectful manner at all times
  • Closely monitors guests to ensure safety requirements
  • Assisting in daily operations of site as assigned
  • Ensuring the attraction is clean prior to opening, during operation and maintaining attraction cleanliness through the day (responsible for care, cleaning and proper operation of all housekeeping equipment and to report equipment deficiencies, failures and repair needs; sweeps and mop floors; cleans, sanitizes and dusts woodwork, horses and other articles)
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time, walk, and use hands to handle/feel, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance
  • Locks and unlocks the building and turns lights on and off.
