Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Roofing Estimator for a locally owned commercial roofing company. This is a Direct Hire position. 

The Roofing Estimator will be responsible for estimating labor and material costs for roofing projects based on detailed drawings, site visits and customer specifications. This role requires a deep understanding of different roofing systems, materials and cost factors. The ideal candidate has a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in cost estimation within the roofing industry. Duties include-

• Review and analyze blueprints, specifications, and roofing project proposals.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for roofing projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and permits.
• Perform site visits to gather information and details necessary for accurate estimates.
• Negotiate pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare and submit quotation proposals to clients.
• Coordinate with project managers and sales teams to understand project requirements and timelines.
• Track and adjust cost estimates based on project changes and updates.
• Stay updated on industry trends, material costs, and competitor pricing.
  

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Roofing Estimator or similar role in the construction industry.
  
• 3+ years of experience in commercial roofing, bidding and pricing
• Detailed knowledge of roofing systems, materials, and installation processes.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical diagrams.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  
• Proficient in Microsoft Suites
• Proficiency in relevant software, such as estimation and CAD software.
  
• College Degree
