Summary

Childcare Aide (Floating Position) is responsible for providing support to lead teachers and childcare staff in various classrooms, assisting with the care and supervision of children. This role involves moving between different rooms and age groups, offering flexibility and extra hands where needed.

Duties

• Assisting in Classroom Management: Helping to manage daily routines, ensuring a safe and organized environment, and supporting children with activities that encourage learning, play, and social development.
• Supporting Lead Teachers: Providing additional support to teachers by assisting with lesson plans, preparing materials, and supervising children during structured activities, free play, and meals.
• Child Supervision: Monitoring children?s behavior, ensuring safety, and providing guidance to help foster positive social interactions, emotional growth, and conflict resolution.
• Adapting to Various Age Groups: Floating between different classrooms means working with diverse age ranges, from infants to preschoolers, and adjusting care approaches to meet the specific needs of each group.
• Providing Individualized Attention: Offering one-on-one support to children who may need extra attention or assistance with specific tasks or behaviors.
• Maintaining a Safe and Clean Environment: Ensuring that rooms and materials are clean and sanitized, promoting good hygiene practices, and maintaining safety standards across all areas.
• Communication with Staff and Families: Keeping open communication with lead teachers, parents, and other staff members to ensure children's needs are being met and any concerns are addressed promptly.

Requirements

• Christian testimony
• Pastoral reference with regular church attendance
• High School Diploma
