Pay Range: $20.50 - $24.04 per hour
Hours: Standard University business hours:

8:30am - 5:00pm (academic year)
8:00am - 4:30pm (summer)

Hours may vary based on operational needs.
Job Type: Full-time

Job Description:
In collaboration with other administrative assistants in the College, this position provides administrative support to the Department of Sport Management. This position will support the leadership in Sport Management, Sport Analytics & Esports. Responsibilities include coordinating & organizing department events, trips, conferences, guest speakers, and information sessions.

Assists in coordination of program initiatives, ensures department activities operate efficiently, including scheduling appointments and meetings, coordinating and scheduling department faculty & adjunct hires, coordinating Intra-University Transfer and academic minor applications, coordinating faculty course evaluations; processing student petitions, assists in the supervision of work-study students and scheduling for tutoring/Help Desk.

Duties include course scheduling, coordination of curriculum and program updates, credit card reconciliation, and providing customer service to students/office guests in person, by phone & by email. Creates, maintains, and updates student databases to monitor student academic progress and course needs.

  • Provide administrative support to the Department Chair, undergraduate and graduate directors, faculty, and support staff.
  • Maintain department's academic schedule of classes and classroom scheduling under the direction of the chair & undergraduate director.
  • Coordinate and Organize SPM/SAL Course Curriculum and program updates, regularizations including course catalog.
  • Organize and manage Intra-University Transfer and Minor application processes. Serve as informational resource for students.
  • Informational/Academic advising resource for SPM faculty and students regarding Liberal Arts Core & University policies/procedures.
